The design of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has been proposed by a series of renders that have leaked on the internet. According to the renders, the new Samsung flagship phone will include a dedicated S Pen slot and a curved AMOLED display with a hole-punch design. The design language of the Galaxy Note series is also expected to be shared by the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. It might be as thin as 8.9mm, though a camera bump on the back could add some thickness.
In conjunction with Digit, tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer, who goes under the handle @Onleaks on Twitter, has published renders of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. A movie based on the images has also been produced, giving a 360-degree glimpse of the Samsung phone that has yet to be launched.
The redesigned design is one of the most noticeable differences between the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and its predecessor, according to the renders. The Galaxy Note series, notably the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, appears to have influenced this. The phone appears to have curved sides and a flat top and bottom.
It is rumoured to sport a 6.8-inch curved AMOLED display with a high refresh rate, as well as a P-shaped camera module with quad rear cameras. For improved telephoto viewing, one of the four camera sensors looks to have a periscope lens.
According to the renders, the S Pen slot is located at the bottom of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. This one is comparable to the one found on current Galaxy Note devices.
With this year’s Galaxy S21 Ultra, Samsung included compatibility for the S Pen. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 will also include compatibility for Samsung’s proprietary pen. The Galaxy S22 Ultra, on the other hand, may take things to the next level by including a S Pen slot on its chassis. This is in contrast to both previous phones, which lack a place for storing the stylus when not in use.
Earlier this week, a Chinese tipter reported that the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra could include an integrated S Pen.
The renders also show a speaker grille and a primary microphone at the bottom of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, in addition to the S Pen slot. According to the renders, the top of the phone has a SIM card slot and a secondary microphone.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is said to have dimensions of 163.2×77.9×8.9mm, with a thickness of 10.5mm due to the camera hump.
The exact date of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra’s release has yet to be announced. However, based on previous history, it’s possible that it’ll be released alongside other Galaxy S22 versions early next year.
According to previous rumours, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will have a third-generation 108-megapixel primary camera. The phone was also spotted on the China Compulsory Certification (3C) website, which indicated that the new Galaxy Ultra phone would have a 5,000mAh battery. The Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy S20 Ultra both had the same 5,000mAh battery capacity. Furthermore, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is expected to feature 65W fast charging, which is faster than the Galaxy S21 Ultra’s 25W charging.
