Although there are many people who enjoy dosas and idlis, there is one small issue that prevents us from eating them every day, and that is the fact that these recipes appear to be a little on the lengthy side. Appes are a popular breakfast or evening snack in South Indian households, soft in the middle and crispy on the exterior. These rice dumplings go well with chutney, sambar, or a chicken stew, and they go well with nearly any cuisine. Traditionally prepared with rice batter, this quick recipe uses murmure instead (puffed rice). Suji and blended murmure are combined to make the perfect batter consistency. Murmure Appe Recipe l Quick Murmure Appe Recipe Puffed rice should be washed and soaked for a minute or two. To make a smooth paste, combine the ingredients in a blender with a little water. Mix in the sooji and other ingredients, then let aside for about 10 minutes.
Warm the appe pan and grease it with oil and mustard seeds before serving. Pour in the appe batter and cook for a while. Cook for the same amount of time on the opposite side. Remove the mould and serve immediately.
Ingredients of Murmurre Appe-
a cup of murmure (Puffed rice)
1/2 cup Sooji 1 cup Sooji
a half-cup 1/4 cup chopped onions Tomatoes, chopped 1 tsp green chilies, chopped coriander leaves, chopped Mustard Seeds, 1 tbsp 1 teaspoon powdered red chilli 1/2 teaspoon sodaSalt to taste.
How to Make Murmurre Appe-
1.Wash and soak puffed rice for 5 minutes in a bowl. In a separate bowl, combine water and sooji and set aside for the same amount of time.
2.In a blender, combine the soaked murmure, sooji, and curd and blend until smooth.
3. Remove the batter from the pan and combine it with the onions, tomatoes, green chilli, and dry masala in a mixing dish.
4.After everything has been thoroughly mixed, add the soda and a tsp of lime juice and toss everything together rapidly.
5.Heat oil in an appe pan and sprinkle mustard seeds on top. Fill all of the moulds with the appe batter.
6.Cook for 2 minutes once all of the moulds have been filled.
7.Flip, cover, and cook for another 2 minutes on the other side.
8.Remove from the heat and serve immediately.
